The project

Upgrading to a Quiet Wall Mount Opener

The LiftMaster 98022 mounts on the wall beside the garage door instead of hanging from the ceiling. That frees up overhead space for storage, lights or a car lift, and keeps the garage looking clean.

It runs on a quiet DC motor, includes a battery backup so the door still opens during a power outage, and has built in WiFi so the homeowner can open, close and check the door from their phone.

Because the home already had a LiftMaster 8500 wall mount opener, the 98022 was a direct upgrade. Our technician installed the new opener and tested the door and safety features before leaving.
